The Little Prince is the title character of a very famous novel by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. The play takes most of the elements in the novel to create a charming stage production. The Little Prince is an explorer. He is pure and innocent. Really, he is childlike. As he hops from planet to planet, exploring the universe, he meets many adults who are portrayed as frivolous and weak. It is only once the Little Prince is on earth that he becomes a teacher as well as a student. He is no longer exploring to learn but ends up sharing his discoveries with the Aviator. The Little Prince seems to portray the best in people BUT, he is not meant to be perfect. He has some flaws. One of these flaws is fear.
The Little Prince shows us the the search for answers can be more important than the answers themselves.
