Tis the season……
For the local high schools to put on their theater productions.
St. Philip’s is proud that our alums are in various productions this weekend at La Salle, Flintridge Sacred Heart and St. Francis. Some are former Drama Club members and some discovered theater in high school. All the productions are worth seeing.
Last night I was lucky to see Evita performed at FSHA and was amazed at the beautiful production. Former Drama Club members Meg Kelly, Nikki Zweiback, Nichola Marick, and Megan Seymour let their talent shine in the ensemble. Former Drama Club member Sophie Garcia did an excellent job on makeup crew as did alum Rachel Majich. There are still three more performances of Evita this weekend. 11/11-11/13 @ 7:30pm
As you know, Drama Club was lucky to be offered tickets to the La Salle Play Once in a Lifetime. This is a free performance for area elementary schools. Don’t you think all the high schools should do this?! I am excited to see former Drama Club members Alex Marez, Daniel Ramirez, and Dominic Dagondon in this stage comedy.
Lastly St. Francis High School is putting on a production of Troubadour a musical about the life of St. Francis. Performance dates are November 11-14th. St. Philip alum Nathan Baker is in this production.
I think it is very exciting that we have such talented St. Philip alumni who go on to continue theater arts in high school. Hopefully you get a chance to support them this weekend!
